Uganda is the birthplace of robusta. Not a producer of it  the actual origin, where it grew wild in the equatorial rainforest around Lake Victoria long before anyone farmed it.
Every robusta bean anywhere in the world traces back to here. Today Uganda's Africa's largest coffee exporter by volume, and robusta makes up around 80% of everything the country grows.

A genuinely strong grade, bigger beans, more even roasting.
Same principle as everything else in this range: bean size affects consistency, and we don't buy the smaller, cheaper stuff like most other roasters.

That matters, because most people have only ever had bad robusta cheap, over-roasted, bulking out a blend nobody's proud of. This isn't that. Naturally processed, dried inside the fruit for extra sweetness and body, grown by a country that's been perfecting this bean since before robusta had a name anywhere else. Harvested across two windows the main crop October through February, a smaller fly crop April through August.

We've said it before and we'll keep saying it: robusta done right isn't a compromise.
This is robusta at the source, from the people who've grown it the longest.
